Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Remove the oil level indicator. Refer to Oil Level Indicator Replacement 
  2. Remove Exhaust Front Pipe. Refer to Exhaust Front Pipe Replacement (LH7)
  3. Remove the engine oil heater. Refer to Engine Oil Heater Replacement 
  4. Place a drain pan under the vehicle.

  6. Remove Oil Pan Drain Plug (1)
  7. Remove and DISCARD Oil Pan Drain Plug Seal (2)
  8. Remove the oil filter cap bolt (4).
  9. Remove and DISCARD Oil Filter Cap O-Ring (3)
  10. Drain the engine oil into a suitable container.
  11. If the oil pan will be reused:
    1. Install NEW Oil Filter Cap O-Ring (3)
    2. CAUTION:

      Refer to Fastener Caution

    3. Install the oil filter cap bolt (4) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in)
    4. Install NEW Oil Pan Drain Plug Seal (2)
    5. Install and tighten Oil Pan Drain Plug (1) to 25 N.m (18 lb ft)

  13. Disconnect Electrical Connector (1) @ Engine Oil Level Indicator

  15. Remove Transmission Bolts (1) (Qty: 2)

    NOTE:

    Mark the position of the oil pan bolts because of different length.

  17. Remove Oil Pan Bolts (1, 2, 3) (Qty: 15)

  19. Loosen the oil pan carefully from the lower cylinder block, use a suitable tool at the location as shown to pry (1).

  21. Remove Oil Pan (1)

  23. Remove and DISCARD the oil filter seal (1)
  24. Disassemble the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Disassemble
