Removal Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Remove the oil level indicator. Refer to Oil Level Indicator Replacement
- Remove Exhaust Front Pipe. Refer to Exhaust Front Pipe Replacement (LH7)
- Remove the engine oil heater. Refer to Engine Oil Heater Replacement
- Place a drain pan under the vehicle.
- Remove Oil Pan Drain Plug (1)
- Remove and DISCARD Oil Pan Drain Plug Seal (2)
- Remove the oil filter cap bolt (4).
- Remove and DISCARD Oil Filter Cap O-Ring (3)
- Drain the engine oil into a suitable container.
- If the oil pan will be reused:
- Install NEW Oil Filter Cap O-Ring (3)
- Install the oil filter cap bolt (4) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in)
- Install NEW Oil Pan Drain Plug Seal (2)
- Install and tighten Oil Pan Drain Plug (1) to 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
CAUTION:Refer to Fastener Caution
- Disconnect Electrical Connector (1) @ Engine Oil Level Indicator
- Remove Transmission Bolts (1) (Qty: 2)
- Remove Oil Pan Bolts (1, 2, 3) (Qty: 15)
- Loosen the oil pan carefully from the lower cylinder block, use a suitable tool at the location as shown to pry (1).
- Remove Oil Pan (1)
- Remove and DISCARD the oil filter seal (1)
- Disassemble the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Disassemble
NOTE:
Mark the position of the oil pan bolts because of different length.
