Oil Pan Disassemble

  1. Remove the oil filter cap (4) from the oil pan (1).
  2. Remove and DISCARD the oil filter cap seal (3)
    3. CAUTION:

    This engine uses a special high performance oil filter. Use of any other filter may lead to filter failure and/or severe engine damage.

  3. Remove and properly dispose the oil filter insert (2).

  4. Remove the 3 oil level indicator switch bolts (4).
  5. Remove the oil level indicator switch (3) from the oil pan (1).
  6. Remove and DISCARD the oil level indicator switch gasket (2).

  7. Remove the 2 location pins (4) from the oil pan (3).
  8. Remove the 6 oil pan baffle bolts (1).
  9. Remove the oil pan baffle (2).
