Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Clean all sealing surfaces.
  2. Assemble the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Assemble 
  3. Fig 1: Oil Filter Seal

  4. Install a NEW oil filter seal (1)

    NOTE:

    The complete installation procedure of the oil pan should be completed within 20 minutes.

  6. Apply silicone sealing compound (1) to the oil pan surface. The thickness of the sealing bead (1) should be 3.0 - 4.0 mm (0.118 - 0.157 in).

  8. Install the oil pan (2) with the pins (1) in their holes.

  10. Loosely install the oil pan bolts. (1, 2, 3) (Qty: 15)

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution

  12. Tighten Oil Pan Bolts (Qty: 15) in sequence to 25 N.m (18 lb ft)

  14. Install and tighten Transmission Bolts (1) (Qty: 2) to 58 N.m (43 lb ft).

  16. Connect Electrical Connector (1) @ Engine Oil Level Indicator
  17. Install the engine oil heater. Refer to Engine Oil Heater Replacement 
  18. Install Exhaust Front Pipe. Refer to Exhaust Front Pipe Replacement (LH7) .
  19. Install the oil level indicator. Refer to Oil Level Indicator Replacement 
  20. Fill and check the engine oil level. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement
