Oil Pan Assemble

  1. Install the oil pan baffle (2) to the oil pan (3).
    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Install the 6 oil pan baffle bolts (1) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
  3. Install the 2 location pins (4).

  4. Install a NEW oil level indicator switch gasket (2).
  5. Install the oil level indicator switch (3) to the oil pan (1).
  6. Install the 3 oil level indicator switch bolts (4) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
  7. Clean the oil filter housing of the oil pan and oil filter cap until it is completely free of debris.

  8. Install a NEW oil filter insert (2).
  9. Coat the seal ring with NEW clean engine oil.
  10. Install a NEW oil filter cap seal (3).
    11. CAUTION:

    Over torquing the oil filter cap may cause damage to the oil filter cap resulting in an oil leak.

  11. Install the oil filter cap (4) to the oil pan (1) and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
