Circuit/System Verification

- Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Perform the scan tool control function: Intake Manifold Runner Control Valve - Increase & Decrease
Verify the scan tool parameter:
- Intake Manifold Runner Control Valve Control Circuit High Voltage Test Status = OK or Not Run
- Intake Manifold Runner Control Valve Control Circuit Open Test Status = OK or Not Run
- Intake Manifold Runner Control Valve Control Circuit Low Voltage Test Status = OK or Not Run
- If not the specified state
Refer to Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If the specified state
- Perform the scan tool control function: Intake Manifold Runner Control Valve - Increase
Verify the scan tool parameter: Intake Manifold Runner Control Valve Feedback Signal = The value should not spike or drop out.
- Perform the action while monitoring the parameter:
- Wiggle the harness and connector: K20 Engine Control Module
- Wiggle the harness and connector: M98 Intake Manifold Runner Valve Actuator
- If the value spikes or drops out
Refer to: Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If the value does not spike or drop out
- Perform the action while monitoring the parameter:
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
Verify the DTC does not set.
- If the DTC sets
Refer to Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
