Component Testing
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the appropriate B130 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Temperature Sensor.
- Verify the resistance between the signal circuit terminal 1 and the low reference circuit terminal 2 is within the range specified in the Temperature Versus Resistance - Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor
Table.
- If not within the range specified
Replace the appropriate B130 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Temperature Sensor.
- Go to next step: If within the range specified
- If not within the range specified
- Test for infinite resistance between each terminal and the sensor housing/case.
- If less than infinite resistance
Replace the appropriate B130 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Temperature Sensor.
- Go to next step: If infinite resistance
- If less than infinite resistance
- All OK
NOTE:
The J 25070 may be used to evaluate the sensor under high temperature conditions.
