Reductant Line Heater

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Ignition Off, disconnect the harness connector at the E52 Reductant Line Heater.
  2. NOTE:

    The DMM and test leads must be calibrated to 0 Ω in order to prevent misdiagnosis.

  3. Test for 1 - 2 Ω between terminals 1 - 2 at the E52 Reductant Line Heater.
    • If less than 1 Ω or greater than 2 Ω 

      Replace the E52 Reductant Line Heater.

    • Go to next step: If between 1 - 2 Ω 
  4. Test for infinite resistance between each terminal and the E52 Reductant Line Heater housing/case.
    • If less than infinite resistance 

      Replace the E52 Reductant Line Heater.

    • Go to next step: If infinite resistance 
  5. All OK.
