Circuit/System Description

The reductant level sensor provides discrete information about the diesel exhaust fluid quantity present in the reductant tank. The sensor signal provides information to the reductant control module to determine 4 different states: FULL, OK, WARNING1 and WARNING2. The reductant control module diagnoses the sensor for open circuit, short to ground and short to voltage electrical faults. The sensor is also checked for invalid range output by determining if the float is mechanically stuck in a plausible position.
