The fuel pump driver control module sends a message every 100 ms to the engine control module (ECM) that indicates the amount of time elapsed since the last controller reset (power up or running reset). This message is used to detect if the fuel pump driver control module has unexpectedly reset and will eventually set a DTC if the resets continue.
