Circuit/System Verification

Ignition ON.
Observe the DTC information with a scan tool. Verify there are no other DTCs set.
- If a DTC is set
  Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle for further diagnosis.
- Go to next step: If a DTC is not set
Engine idling at the normal operating temperature.
Compare the scan tool Desired Idle Speed parameter to the Engine Speed parameter. Both parameters should be within 200 RPM.
- If parameters are not within 200 RPM
  Refer to Circuit/System Testing.
- Go to next step: If parameters are within 200 RPM
Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
- If a DTC sets
  Refer to Circuit/System Testing.
- Go to next step: If a DTC does not set
All OK.
