Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition ON, verify that the EGR Position Sensor parameter reading is between 0.25 - 4.75 V.
    • Go to next step: If within the specified range 
  2. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
  3. Verify that DTC P042E or P042F does not set.
    • If the DTC sets 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • Go to next step: If the DTC does not set 
  4. All OK.
