Circuit/System Testing

NOTE:

Perform the Circuit/System Verification before proceeding with Circuit/System Testing.

  1. Verify the conditions listed below do not exist:
    • Restrictions in the EGR cooler, EGR cooler bypass valve and passages.
    • Wet or restricted air filter.
    • Loose or improperly connected hoses.
    • Damaged or missing components.
    • Induction/charge air cooler system restrictions.
    • Exhaust system restrictions.
    • Binding, damaged or restricted intake air flow valve.
    • Binding, damaged or restricted EGR valve.
    • Induction/charge air cooler system leaks. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Diagnosis (Leak Test)Charge Air Cooler Diagnosis (Smoke Test) - Induction System Smoke Test and Full System Air Leak Test.
    • Exhaust system/turbo charger leaks.
    • Restrictions or damage to the turbocharger.
    • If a condition exists 

      Repair or replace the component as necessary.

    • Go to next step: If none of the conditions exist 
  2. Test or replace the Q14 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve.
