Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode
  2. Verify DTC P02E8, P02E9, P16A0-P16A2 is not set.
    • Go to next step: If none of the DTCs are set 
  3. Engine at Idle Verify the scan tool parameter:
    • Intake Air Flow Valve Control Circuit Open Test Status = OK or Not Run
    • Intake Air Flow Valve Control Circuit Low Voltage Test Status = OK or Not Run
    • Intake Air Flow Valve Control Circuit High Voltage Test Status = OK or Not Run
    • Intake Air Flow Valve Control Circuit Shorted Test Status = OK or Not Run
    • If not the specified state 

      Refer to: Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step: If the specified state 
  4. Clear the DTCs.
  5. Ignition Off - For greater than 1 min
  6. Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode
  7. Verify DTC P02E1, P02E4, P02E5 is not set.
    • If the DTC sets 

      Refer to: Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step: If the DTC does not set 
  8. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.

    Verify the DTC does not set.

    • If the DTC sets 

      Refer to: Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step: If the DTC does not set 
  9. All OK.
