Circuit/System Verification

NOTE:

To minimize the effects of residual engine heat and sensor internal heating elements, perform Step 3 of this verification procedure only if the ignition has been OFF for 8 hours or more.
The vehicle sitting in direct sun light or having the block heater ON will skew the results.

Ignition On.
Verify that DTCs P00E9, P00EA, P00EB, P00EC, P007C, P007D, P007E, P0181, or P2610 are not set.
- If any of the DTCs are set
  Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle .
- Go to next step: If none of the DTCs are set
Verify the following scan tool parameters are within 15°C (27°F) of each other.
- Fuel Temperature Sensor
- IAT Sensor 3
- Charge Air Cooler Temperature
- If not within 15°C (27°F)
  Refer to Circuit System Testing.
- Go to next step: If within 15°C (27°F)
Engine idling.
Verify the scan tool Charge Air Cooler Temperature parameter is between -39 to +215°C (-38 to +419°F).
- If not within the specified range
  Refer to Circuit System Testing.
- Go to next step: If within the specified range
Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
Verify the DTC does not set.
- If the DTC sets
  Refer to Circuit/System Testing.
- Go to next step: If the DTC does not set
All OK.
