Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the oil dipstick.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  3. Front Compartment Splash Shield Replacement - Remove
  4. { If equipped } Engine Shield Replacement - Remove
  5. Drain the engine oil. Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement 
  6. Exhaust Front Pipe Replacement - Remove
  7. GM3213270

    Wiring Harness(4) - Disconnect

  8. Bolt(1, 2) - Remove[2x]
  9. Remove the transmission converter cover (5).
  10. Bolt(3) - Remove
  11. GM3213273

    Oil Pan Bolt(2) - Remove[13x]

  12. Use a suitable tool to remove the oil pan (1) evenly all the way around.
  13. In case of reusing the old oil pan or engine oil level sensor. Refer to Oil Pan Cleaning and Inspection .
