Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2019 Buick Cascada, 2018 Buick Cascada, and 2017 Buick Cascada. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Assemble the intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Assemble .
  2. GM2911709

    Install a NEW intake manifold seal (2).

  3. Install the intake manifold (1).

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Install the 7 intake manifold bolts (1) and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft) in the sequence as shown.

  5. Raise the vehicle.

    Install the charge air bypass valve hose (3) to the charge air bypass valve - intake manifold (1).

  7. Install the charge air bypass valve hose clamp (2).

    Clip in the charge air bypass valve tube (3).

  9. Clip in the 3 wiring harness retainers (4, 6).
  10. Lower the vehicle.
  11. Connect the charge air bypass valve wiring harness plug (5).
  12. Connect the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve wiring harness plug (2).
  13. Connect the intake air pressure/temperature sensor wiring harness plug (1).

    Remove the EN-6015  plugs.

  15. Connect the fuel vent pipe (1) to the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve (2). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  16. GM3213261

    Connect the booster vacuum pipe (1) to the intake manifold (2).

  17. Connect the evaporative emission front pipe (1) to the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve (2). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  18. Install the throttle body. Refer to Throttle Body Assembly Replacement .
  19. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
