Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement .
  2. Remove the underbody brace - front. Refer to Underbody Brace Replacement - Front .
  3. Drain the transmission fluid. Refer to Transmission Fluid Drain and Fill .
  4. GM2918322

    Install a suitable container to catch the transmission fluid if it drips out of the connector and the pipe.

  5. Disconnect the transmission fluid cooler inlet pipe (2) from the transmission fluid cooler pipe - front (1). Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection .
  6. GM2918323

    Remove the transmission fluid cooler inlet pipe nut (3) from the stud (4).

  7. Remove the transmission fluid cooler inlet pipe (6) from the retainers (1, 2).
  8. Remove the transmission fluid cooler inlet pipe (6) and DISCARD the transmission fluid cooler inlet pipe seal.
