Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the folding top stowage compartment lid. Refer to Folding Top Stowage Compartment Lid Replacement .
  2. Remove the folding top stowage compartment lid weatherstrip. Refer to Folding Top Stowage Compartment Lid Weatherstrip Replacement .
  3. Remove the folding top stowage compartment. Refer to Folding Top Stowage Compartment Replacement .
  4. Remove the quarter inner trim finish panel. Refer to Quarter Inner Trim Finish Panel Replacement - Left Side , or Quarter Inner Trim Finish Panel Replacement - Right Side .
  5. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  6. Left side only: Remove the folding top multifunction control module. Refer to Folding Top Multifunction Control Module Replacement .
  7. Left side only: Lay the folding top pump aside.

    Remove the clamp (2).

  9. Remove the pin (3).
  10. Remove clamp.
  11. Remove pin (4).
  12. Remove the hydraulic cylinder (1) from the folding top stowage compartment lid hinge.
  13. Left side only: Unclip the wiring harness from the hinge.
  14. GM3352079

    Remove the 3 folding top stowage compartment lid hinge bolts (1).

  15. Remove the folding top stowage compartment lid hinge (2).
  16. Transfer or replace components as needed.
