Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the A/C compressor. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement .
  2. Clamp air conditioning compressor in a soft jawed vice.
  3. GM1786873

    Remove the compressor clutch plate.

    1. Remove the bolt.
    2. Counterhold with GE-48965  wrench.
    4. NOTE:

    Re-use spacer washers when refitting.

  4. Remove the spacer washers.
  5. GM1936368

    Remove the retaining ring (1) from belt pulley.

  6. Pull off the compressor pulley (2).
