Front Differential Ring Gear Installation

Callout	Component Name
Preliminary Procedure Use wooden blocks or equivalent to elevate the torque dampener and differential housing on the bench to protect the front wheel drive shaft oil seal.
1	Front Differential Carrier Internal Gear Wear Ring NOTE: Inspect the dampener housing for wear before installing the wear ring. If excessive wear is found, replace the dampener housing.
2	Front Differential Ring Gear
3	Front Differential Ring Gear Retainer NOTE: Stake the retainer to ensure it is seated in the retaining ring groove. The front differential ring gear retainer is beveled. Install in the direction shown.
