Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. If you are replacing the battery with a serviced NEW battery, detach the vent plug (1), that comes with the positive post cover.

  2. Install the vent plug (1), opposite side of the battery vent hose (2).

  3. Battery (6)» Install

  4. Battery Hold Down Retainer (2)» Install
  5. Battery Hold Down Retainer Nut (1)» Install and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)
    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution
  6. Battery Hold Down Retainer (4)» Install
  7. Battery Hold Down Bolt (3)» Install and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
  8. Battery Vent Hose (5)» Connect
  9. Battery Distribution Fuse Block (2)» Install

  10. Battery Positive Post Clamp Nut (1)» Tighten 4.5 N.m (40 lb in)
  11. Battery Distribution Fuse Block Cover (1)» Install

  12. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (HP4) 
  13. Rear Compartment Side Trim Panel (2)» Install - Rear Compartment Side Trim Replacement - Left Side (With HP4)
