Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Disable the high voltage system. Refer to High Voltage Disabling 
  2. High Voltage Battery (1) - Remove High Voltage Battery Replacement and Shipping Preparation

    NOTE: Take care not to damage duct seal (1) when removing.
  10. Battery Cooling Air Inlet Duct - Rear (1) - Remove

  11. High Voltage Bus Bar Fastener (1) - Remove [4x]

  13. Disconnect the ribbon connector. (1)

  14. Battery Vent Tube (2) - Disconnect

  15. Electrical Connector (1) - Disconnect [2x]
  16. Retainer Clip (3) - Disengage
  17. High Voltage Battery Interface Control Module (1) - Remove

  18. Battery Hold Down Bolt (2) - Remove [4x]

    NOTE: If a service replacement cell battery module is required, the replacement cell battery module will need to have its cell voltages balanced. In order to facilitate installing EL-50332  cell balancing service tool, the replacement cell battery module will have to go in cell battery module 4 or cell battery module 5 location. Repositioning the existing cell battery module 4 or cell battery module 5 into the location of the cell battery module requiring replacement as applicable.
  21. If replacing the cell battery module, insert the shipping bracket (2) that comes with the NEW cell battery.

  22. Install the retainers. (1)
