Removal Procedure

  1. Disable the high voltage system. Refer to High Voltage Disabling 
  2. Rear Compartment Side Trim Panel (1) - Remove Rear Compartment Side Trim Replacement - Left Side (Without HP4)Rear Compartment Side Trim Replacement - Left Side (With HP4)

  3. Battery Distribution Fuse Block Cover (1) - Remove

  4. Battery Positive Cable Nut (2) - Remove

  6. Battery Positive Cable Retainer (3) - Disengage [3x]
  7. Battery Positive Cable Retainer (1) - Disengage [2x]

  8. High Voltage Battery Positive and Negative Cable Cover (2) - Remove High Voltage Battery Positive and Negative Cable Cover Replacement

  9. Electrical Connector (1) - Disconnect [3x]

  10. Remove the high voltage battery positive and negative cable insulators. (2)
  11. Retainer (1) - Disengage [5x]

  12. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  13. Fuel Tank (1) - Remove Fuel Tank Replacement

  14. Pass-through Grommet Fastener (1) - Remove [2x]

  34. Retainer (2) - Disengage [2x]
  35. With the aid of a second technician, remove the high voltage battery positive and negative cable, along with the battery positive cable, from the vehicle. (1)

    NOTE: Note the location and routing of the wiring harness to ensure proper reinstallation.
