Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. With the aid of a second technician, install the high voltage battery positive and negative cable, along with the battery positive cable, to the vehicle. (1)

  2. Pass-through Grommet (2) - Install

  3. Pass-through Grommet Fastener (1) - Install and tighten [2x] 9 N.m (80 lb in)
    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution
  4. Retainer (1) - Engage [5x]

  5. Electrical Connector (1) - Connect [3x]

  6. Install the high voltage battery positive and negative cable insulators. (2)
  7. High Voltage Battery Positive and Negative Cable Cover (2) - Install High Voltage Battery Positive and Negative Cable Cover Replacement

  8. Battery Positive Cable Retainer (1) - Engage [2x]

  9. Battery Positive Cable (1) - Install

  10. Battery Positive Cable Nut (2) - Install and tighten 16 N.m (12 lb ft)
  11. Battery Positive Cable Retainer (3) - Engage [3x]
  12. Battery Distribution Fuse Block Cover (1) - Install

  13. High Voltage Battery Positive and Negative Cable Retainer Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] 9 N.m (80 lb in)

  14. High Voltage Battery Positive and Negative Cable Retainer Nut (2) - Install and tighten [2x] 9 N.m (80 lb in)
  15. High Voltage Battery Positive and Negative Cable Retainer Nut (1) - Install and tighten [2x] 9 N.m (80 lb in)

  16. Fuel Tank (1) - Install Fuel Tank Replacement

  19. Cradle Brace - Left Side (3) - Install Front Cradle Brace Replacement

  26. Drive Motor Power Inverter Module Shield Nut (1) - Install and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)
  27. Battery Positive Cable Retainer Nut (1) - Install and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)

  28. Retainer (2) - Engage [2x]
  29. Electronic Brake Module with Brake Pressure Modulator Valve - Install Electronic Brake Control Module with Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Replacement
  30. Battery Positive Cable (2) - Install

  31. Battery Positive Cable Nut (1) - Install and tighten 16 N.m (12 lb ft)
  32. Battery Distribution Fuse Block Cover (1) - Install

  33. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (without KL9)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (with KL9)
