Circuit/System Description

The hybrid/EV battery sections consist of lithium - ion batteries connected in series to make up the 288V DC battery.
Each hybrid battery section contains 10 cells that are connected in series using internal bus bars. The battery sections are externally connected in series using high voltage cables and bus bars. Each individual cell group is rated at 3.6V, for a nominal system voltage of 288V DC.
A voltage sense circuit is attached to each individual cell. Each of these circuits terminate at a Hybrid Battery Interface Control Module located on the top surface of the battery section. The interface modules are connected to each other and the hybrid/EV powertrain control module 2 via serial data.
