Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
  2. S3 Transmission Shift Lever=L
  3. Verify the scan tool parameter: Driver Shift Control Mode » K9 Body Control Module=ON
    • If not the specified state 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing

    • If the specified state, go to next step 
  4. Press and hold the switch: S2 Transmission Manual Shift Switch=Up

    Verify the scan tool parameter: Up and Down Shift Switch= Up or Upshift

    • If not the specified state 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing

    • If the specified state, go to next step 
  5. Press and hold the switch: S2 Transmission Manual Shift Switch=Down

    Verify the scan tool parameter: Driver Shift Control Mode=Down or Downshift

    • If not the specified state 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing

    • If the specified state, go to next step 
  6. Press and hold the switch: S2 Transmission Manual Shift Switch

    Verify the scan tool parameter: Up and Down Shift Switch @ K71 Transmission Control Module= Up or Upshift

    • If not the specified state 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing

    • If the specified state, go to next step 
  7. Press and hold the switch: S2 Transmission Manual Shift Switch=Down

    Verify the scan tool parameter: Up and Down Shift Switch=Down or Downshift

    • If not the specified state 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing

    • If the specified state, go to next step 
  8. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.

    Verify the DTC does not set.

    • If the DTC sets 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing

    • If the DTC is not set, go to next step 
  9. All OK.
