Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Install the engine oil level sensor (1).

    NOTE:
    • Lubricate the O-ring seal with clean engine oil prior to installing the sensor. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants and Sealers .
    • Use wire or suitable device to route the sensor connector through the oil pan opening.
    • If reinstalling the sensor, replace the O-ring (2) around the level sensor.
  2. Install the engine oil level sensor C-clip (1).

    NOTE: Pull the sensor connector (2) through the connector opening and ensure that it is properly seated.
  3. Install the engine oil level sensor fasteners (2) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  4. Connect the oil level sensor electrical connector (1).
  5. Lower Oil Pan Replacement  - Install
