Circuit/System Verification

  1. Verify that no other hybrid/EV powertrain or motor control module DTC is set.
    • If none of the DTCs are set 
  2. Verify the transmission fluid level and condition is correct and inspect for other causes of transmission overheating. Refer to Transmission Fluid Level and Condition Check and Transmission Overheats (AF50-8)Transmission Overheats (5ET50) .
    NOTE: Fluid level that is either too high or too low can result in overheating.
    • If a condition was found 

      Repair as necessary.

    • If a condition was not found 
  3. Verify DTC P2797 is not set.
    • If the DTC is set 
    1. Verify the T6 Power Inverter Module has the latest calibration in Calibration Information.
      • If the T6 Power Inverter Module does not have the latest calibration, program the T6 power inverter module.
      • If the T6 Power Inverter Module has the latest calibration, replace the T6 Power Inverter Module.
    2. Verify the DTC does not set.
      • If the DTC sets.
      1. Replace the G5 Transmission Fluid Pump - Electric/Auxiliary.
      2. Verify the DTC does not set.
        • If the DTC sets, replace the T6 Power Inverter Module.
    • If the DTC is not set 
  4. All OK.
