Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition ON, perform the Gauge Sweep test. Refer to Engineering Mode Description and Operation . Verify the speedometer gauge sweeps to approximately 25 mph and then returns to zero.
    • If the speedometer does not sweep properly 

      Replace the P16 Instrument Cluster.

    • Go to next step: If the speedometer sweeps properly 
  2. Drive the vehicle, verify the speedometer matches the values on the scan tool.
    • If the values do not match 

      Replace the P16 Instrument Cluster.

    • Go to next step: If the values match the scan tool 
  3. All OK.
