Engineering Mode Description and Operation

Engineering Mode provides an instrument cluster self test function. Engineering mode performs the following functions:

• Most of the instrument cluster indicators are illuminated
• The instrument cluster will command the gauges to partially sweep when the left stem is pressed and held. Releasing the left stem causes the instrument cluster to command the gauges back to zero.
• All DIC segments are illuminated.

Engineering mode is entered by performing the following steps:

1. Ignition OFF.
2. Press and hold the left stem on the instrument cluster.
3. Turn ignition ON.
4. Release left stem approximately one second after ignition ON.
5. Press and release the left stem three times within 5 seconds.

Engineering Mode is exited by turning the ignition switch OFF.
