Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement (LKW) .
  2. Remove the PCV pipe (1). Refer to Positive Crankcase Ventilation Hose/Pipe/Tube Replacement (LKW) .

  3. Remove the rear brake vacuum pipe (1). Refer to Power Brake Booster Vacuum Rear Pipe Replacement (LKW) .

  4. Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Replacement (LKW) »Remove (1)

  5. Remove the throttle body. Refer to Throttle Body Assembly Replacement (LKW) .
  6. Remove the fuel pump. Refer to Fuel Pump Replacement .
  7. Disconnect electrical connectors as necessary.
  8. Unclip the retainers attaching the fuel injector harness to the intake manifold and reposition the harness.
  9. Remove the upper intake bolts (1).

  10. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  11. Remove the lower intake manifold bolt (1).
  12. Lower the vehicle.
  13. Remove the intake manifold (2) from the vehicle.
  14. Remove the intake manifold gasket (1) and DISCARD.
