Installation Procedure

  1. Install the intake manifold gasket (1).

  2. Install the intake manifold (2).

  3. Hand start the upper intake manifold bolts (1).
  4. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  5. Install the lower intake manifold bolt (1).
  6. Tighten the fasteners in sequence.

    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
    • First Pass: 12 N.m (106 lb in)
    • Final Pass: 12 N.m (106 lb in)
  7. Install the fuel pump. Refer to Fuel Pump Replacement .
  8. Install the throttle body. Refer to Throttle Body Assembly Replacement (LKW) .
  9. Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Replacement (LKW) »Install (1)

  10. Install the rear brake vacuum pipe (1). Refer to Power Brake Booster Vacuum Rear Pipe Replacement (LKW) .

  11. Connect electrical connectors as necessary.
  12. Clip the retainers attaching the fuel injector harness to the intake manifold and reposition the harness.
  13. Install the PCV pipe (1). Refer to Positive Crankcase Ventilation Hose/Pipe/Tube Replacement (LKW) .

  14. Install the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement (LKW) .
