Front Fender Replacement - Left Side (GMC)

Callout Component Name

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the headlamp. Refer to Headlamp Replacement (GMC)
  2. Remove the front fender rear upper brace. Refer to Front Fender Rear Upper Brace Replacement .
  3. Remove the auxiliary battery and battery tray. Refer to Auxiliary Battery Tray Replacement (9C1)
  4. Remove the hood hinge. Refer to Hood Hinge Replacement .
  5. Remove the underhood electrical center junction block. Refer to Underhood Electrical Center or Junction Block Bracket Replacement .
  6. Remove the left wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement - Left Side (GMC) .
  7. Remove the assist step. Refer to Assist Step Replacement (Step Pad - BRS)Assist Step Replacement (Assembly - BRS)Assist Step Replacement (BVE-Short Wheel Base)Assist Step Replacement (BVE-Long Wheel Base)
1 Left Front Fender Bolt (Qty: 4)
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Tighten 
25 N.m (18 lb ft)
NOTE:

Apply threadlock compound to the bolts.
2 Left Front Fender Inner Panel Bolts (Qty: 4)
Tighten 
25 N.m (18 lb ft)
3 Left Front Fender Nuts
Tighten 
25 N.m (18 lb ft)
4 Left Front Fender
  1. Reposition the hood cable.
  2. Reposition the windshield washer hose.
  3. Transfer any necessary additional parts as needed.
