Installation Procedure

  1. Remove the plug and/or cap from the hose and transmission.
  2. Install the transmission fluid cooler hose (2) to the transmission connectors (1).

  3. Install the transmission fluid cooler hose nut (3) to the stud (4) and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  4. Remove the plug and/or cap from the hose and transmission fluid cooler pipe connectors.
  5. Install the transmission fluid cooler hose (3) to the 2 transmission fluid cooler pipe connectors (1).

  6. Clip in the transmission fluid cooler hose (3) to the retainers (4).
  7. Press the 2 plastic caps (2) forward to the 2 transmission fluid cooler pipe connectors (1). Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection (6T30-MH9 and 6T40-MH8)  and Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection (AF40-MDK) .
  8. Install the charge air cooler outlet air hose. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Hose Replacement
  9. Fill the transmission to a proper level with the correct fluid. Refer to Transmission Fluid Drain and Fill .
