Installation Procedure

  1. Install heater and air conditioning evaporator case (2) to heater and blower and air conditioning control module (1).

  2. Install 10 heater and air conditioning evaporator case bolts (3) and tighten to 2.5 N.m (23 lb in).
    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  3. Install heater and blower and air conditioning control module. Refer to Heater and Blower and Air Conditioning Control Module Replacement or Heater and Blower and Air Conditioning Control Module Replacement .
  4. Install blower motor. Refer to Blower Motor Replacement .
  5. Install heater core. Refer to Heater Core Replacement .
  6. Install air conditioning module wiring harness (1).

  7. Connect electrical connectors.
  8. Install instrument panel tie bar. Refer to Instrument Panel Tie Bar Replacement .
  9. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE-47716 Fill) and Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) .
  10. Evacuate and charge the refrigerant system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
