Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Secure adjuster locks (1) by pushing down until locked and fully seated. One for each cable.

    NOTE:
    • During this procedure DO NOT touch or preload the fixed shift lever as this may cause improper adjustment of the shift system.
    • When locking the adjuster locks (1) a defined snap noise should be audible, a snap effect should be felt.
  2. Remove the DT-527-A  adjuster (1) or the drill bit from the shift control lever.

  3. Unblock the shift control housing, push slightly the selector lever (2) backwards and pull (arrow) the blocking device away from the shift control housing.

    NOTE: When unblocking the blocking device (1) a defined snap noise should be audible / a snap effect should be felt.
  4. Check the correct shifting function.
  5. If necessary repeat the adjusting procedure.
  6. Install the front floor console storage tray. Refer to Front Floor Console Stowage Tray Replacement .
  7. Install the transmission control lever trim cover. Refer to Automatic or Manual Transmission Control Lever Trim Cover Replacement .
