Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Open the hood.
  2. Remove the camshaft housing. Refer to Camshaft Housing and Cover Gasket Replacement .
  3. Remove the 16 valve rocker arms with the valve lifters (1).

    NOTE: If the valve rocker arms will be reused mind the installation position to ensure they will be installed in their original position.
  4. Remove the 16 valve rocker arms (1) from the valve lifters (2).

    NOTE: Unclip the valve lifter from the valve rocker arm in direction as shown (arrow). Mind to the centering link on the retaining spring (3).
