Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Install the 16 valve rocker arms (1) to the valve lifters (2).
    NOTE: Clean the valve lifters and the surrounding areas. Lubricate the valve lifters with engine oil.

    NOTE: Clip the valve lifter to the valve rocker arm in direction as shown (arrow). Mind to the centering link on the retaining spring (3).
  2. Install the 16 valve rocker arms with the valve lifters (1).

    NOTE: In case of reusing the valve rocker arms put them back in the original position.
  3. Install the camshaft housing. Refer to Camshaft Housing and Cover Gasket Replacement .
  4. Close the hood.
