Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Clean the threads and sealing surfaces.
  2. Install the oil pump (3) with a NEW oil pump gasket (2) to the engine block (1).

  3. Install the 5 short oil pump bolts (5) and the 2 long oil pump bolts (4) and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
    NOTE: Use locking agent to the bolts. Lower left oil pump bolt will installed during timing belt installation.
  4. Connect the oil flow control solenoid valve electrical connector.
  5. Install the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement .
  6. Install the crankshaft sprocket. Refer to Crankshaft Sprocket Replacement .
  7. Install the timing belt. Refer to Timing Belt Replacement (New Belt)  and Timing Belt Replacement (Used Belt) .
