Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Install the exhaust camshaft (2).

  2. Install a NEW exhaust camshaft seal ring (1).
  3. Install the EN-46789  locking tool.
  4. Install the exhaust camshaft sprocket (1).

  5. Install the NEW exhaust camshaft sprocket bolt (2) and tighten a first pass to 40 N.m (30 lb ft).
    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
    CAUTION: Refer to Torque-to-Yield Fastener Caution .
  6. Tighten the NEW exhaust camshaft sprocket bolt a final pass to an additional 55 degrees, using the EN-45059  meter.
  7. Remove the EN-46789  locking tool.
  8. Install the camshaft housing. Refer to Camshaft Housing Replacement .
