Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Cooler Assemble

  1. Install the water pipe (2) along with a NEW seal ring (1).

  2. Install the water pipe bolt (3) and tighten to 8 N.m (71 lb in).
    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  3. Install the water pipe (2) along with a NEW seal ring (1).

  4. Install the water pipe bolt (3) and tighten to 8 N.m (71 lb in).
  5. Install the cooling module (6) to the tank assembly (2) along with a NEW sealing (3).

  6. Install the tank assembly (2) to the exhaust gas recirculation valve module (4) along with a NEW sealing (5).
  7. Install the 5 tank assembly bolts and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
  8. Clean all sealing surfaces.

  9. Install the exhaust gas recirculation valve (1) with a NEW exhaust gas recirculation valve gasket (3).
  10. Hand-tighten the 2 exhaust gas recirculation valve bolts (2).
  11. Tighten the 2 exhaust gas recirculation valve bolts (2) to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
  12. Install the thermostat housing (2) along with a NEW seal ring (4).

  13. Install the 3 thermostat housing bolts (3) and tighten to 8 N.m (71 lb in).
  14. Install the temperature sensor (1) and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).
  15. Install the exhaust gas recirculation actuator valve (2) along with the vacuum hose.

  16. Install the 2 exhaust gas recirculation actuator valve bolts (1) and tighten to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).
  17. Install the vacuum hose (3) to the exhaust gas recirculation actuator valve (1) and to the exhaust gas recirculation actuator (4).

  18. Install the vacuum hose (2) to the vacuum tank (5).
