Oil Pump - VDOP
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
The Variable Displacement Oil Pump (VDOP) varies continuously its displacement according to engine speed reducing the flow and consequently the parasitic horsepower consumption at all speeds. This function is automatically performed by the pump and doesn't require any external control. Furthermore the pump displacement can be varied in two positions by a solenoid valve. When the solenoid valve is commanded the pump starts regulating at the lower pressure level; when the solenoid valve is not commanded the pump starts regulating at the higher pressure level.
