WARNING: Always wear safety goggles when working with fuel in order to protect the eyes from fuel splash. WARNING: Do not allow smoking or the use of open flames in the area where work on the fuel or EVAP system is taking place. Anytime work is being done on the fuel system, disconnect the negative battery cable, except for those tests where battery voltage is required. Preliminary Procedures Remove the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement . Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
1	Fuel Return Hose Clamp Procedure Cut and DISCARD the clamp with a appropriate tool.
2	Fuel Return Hose Clamp Procedure Tighten the clamp with CH-22610 pliers. Special Tools CH-22610 Pliers For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools (Diagnostic Tools) and Special Tools (Removal and Installation) .
