WARNING: Gasoline or gasoline vapors are highly flammable. A fire could occur if an ignition source is present. Never drain or store gasoline or diesel fuel in an open container, due to the possibility of fire or explosion. Have a dry chemical (Class B) fire extinguisher nearby. Preliminary Procedures Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection . Remove the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement .
1	Fuel Pressure Regulator CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Procedure Disconnect electrical connector. Tighten First Pass: 50 N.m (37 lb ft) Second Pass: Back OFF 90 degrees Final Pass: 60 N.m (44 lb ft)

Preliminary Procedures

Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
Remove the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement .

Fuel Pressure Regulator

CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Procedure
Disconnect electrical connector.
Tighten

First Pass: 50 N.m (37 lb ft)
Second Pass: Back OFF 90 degrees
Final Pass: 60 N.m (44 lb ft)
