Removal Procedure

- Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
- Remove the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement .
- Disconnect the exhaust temperature sensor wiring harness plug (1).
- Remove the exhaust temperature sensor (3) out of the retainer (2).
- Remove the 2 straps.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Remove the exhaust temperature sensor (1) from the exhaust front pipe thread (4), use a suitable tool.
