Installation Procedure

  1. Coat the exhaust gas recirculation pipe thread (1) with assembly paste.

  2. Install the exhaust gas recirculation valve temperature sensor (2) to the exhaust gas recirculation pipe thread (1) and tighten to 45 N.m (33 lb ft), use a suitable tool.
    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  3. Install the exhaust gas recirculation valve temperature sensor wiring harness plug (4) to the retainer (3).
  4. Connect the exhaust gas recirculation valve temperature sensor wiring harness plug (4).
  5. Connect the exhaust gas recirculation valve wiring harness plug (5) to the exhaust gas recirculation valve (6).
  6. Install the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement .
  7. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
