Removal Procedure

Before performing the first steps, review the Emission Reduction Fluid and Emission Reduction Fluid Handling .
Remove the emission reduction fluid tank insulator - upper. Refer to Emission Reduction Fluid Tank Insulator Replacement - Upper .
Disconnect the wiring harness plug (2).

Remove the emission reduction fluid exhaust front pipe injector supply pipe (3) from the emission reduction fluid supply pump module (1). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
Cap the emission reduction fluid exhaust front pipe injector supply pipe (3) to prevent contamination and fluid loss.
Disconnect the vent elbow pipe (5) at the vent elbow quick connector.
Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
Remove the underbody rear air deflector. Refer to Underbody Rear Air Deflector Replacement .
Remove the underbody front air deflector - right. Refer to Underbody Front Air Deflector Replacement - Right Side .
Disconnect the emission reduction fluid exhaust front pipe injector supply pipe (1) from the emission reduction fluid injector (3). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

Cap the emission reduction fluid exhaust front pipe injector supply pipe (1) to prevent contamination and fluid loss.
Remove the emission reduction fluid exhaust front pipe injector supply pipe (1) out of 6 retainers (2, 4).
NOTE: The retainer (2) is placed behind the electric dual pinion rack and pinion steering gear.
Remove the front part of the emission reduction fluid exhaust front pipe injector supply pipe (1) above the drivetrain and front suspension frame support (5).
Remove the 2 emission reduction fluid exhaust front pipe injector supply pipe bracket nuts (4).

Remove the emission reduction fluid exhaust front pipe injector supply pipe (1) out of the 4 remaining retainers.
Remove the emission reduction fluid exhaust front pipe injector supply pipe (1) above the rear axle (2).
Remove the rear part of the emission reduction fluid exhaust front pipe injector supply pipe (1) along with the emission reduction fluid tank vent elbow, out of the body opening (3).
