Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Install the rear part of the emission reduction fluid exhaust front pipe injector supply pipe (1) along with the emission reduction fluid tank vent elbow, into the body opening (3).

  2. Install the emission reduction fluid exhaust front pipe injector supply pipe (1) above the rear axle (2).
    NOTE: Remind the old mounting position of the emission reduction fluid exhaust front pipe injector supply pipe.
  3. Install the emission reduction fluid exhaust front pipe injector supply pipe (1) to the 4 retainers, which are placed in the rear area.
  4. Install the 2 emission reduction fluid exhaust front pipe injector supply pipe bracket nuts (4) and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  5. Install the front part of the emission reduction fluid exhaust front pipe injector supply pipe (1) above the drivetrain and front suspension frame support (5).

  6. Install the emission reduction fluid exhaust front pipe injector supply pipe (1) to the 6 retainers (2, 4).
    NOTE: The retainer (2) is placed behind the electric dual pinion rack and pinion steering gear.
  7. Remove the tightness tool (6) from the emission reduction fluid exhaust front pipe injector supply pipe (1).
  8. Connect the emission reduction fluid exhaust front pipe injector supply pipe (1) to the emission reduction fluid injector (3). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  9. Install the underbody front air deflector - right. Refer to Underbody Front Air Deflector Replacement - Right Side .
  10. Install the underbody rear air deflector. Refer to Underbody Rear Air Deflector Replacement .
  11. Lower the vehicle.
  12. Connect the vent elbow pipe (5) at the vent elbow quick connector.

  13. Remove the tightness tool from the emission reduction fluid exhaust front pipe injector supply pipe (3).
  14. Install the emission reduction fluid exhaust front pipe injector supply pipe (3) to the emission reduction fluid supply pump module (1). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  15. Connect the wiring harness plug (2).
  16. Install the emission reduction fluid tank insulator - upper. Refer to Emission Reduction Fluid Tank Insulator Replacement - Upper .
