Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Set the park brake and chock the wheels.
  2. Remove the front floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement .
  3. Remove the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement .
  4. Verify that the transmission range selector lever is in park position.
  5. Verify that the transmission manual shift lever is in park position.
  6. Disconnect the transmission range selector lever cable end terminal (1) from the transmission manual shift lever pin (4).

  7. Press the locking tabs (2) inward (arrows) and clip out the transmission range selector lever cable from the bracket (3).
  8. Press the locking tabs inward in order to release the transmission range selector lever cable (1) from the cable bracket (3).

  9. Remove the cable end terminal from the shifter pin (2).
  10. Remove the transmission range selector lever cable grommet (2) from the bulkhead (1).

  11. Remove the transmission range selector lever cable (3).
