Installation Procedure

  1. If removed, install the park brake cable to the rear brake backing plate.
  2. Ensure the park brake cable locking tab is fully engaged in the rear brake backing plate.

  4. Insert the front park brake cable into the park brake cable connector (1).
  5. Install the rear brake backing plate (2).
  6. Install the rear wheel bearing and hub assembly. Refer to Rear Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement (With Drum Brakes) .
  7. Install the rear wheel speed sensor, if equipped. Refer to Rear Wheel Speed Sensor Replacement .
  8. Install the rear brake cylinder. Refer to Rear Brake Cylinder Replacement .
  9. Install the brake shoes. Refer to Brake Shoe Replacement .
  10. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
